Salting Information
The number one reason to salt exterior surfaces in the winter is safety and we have developed a strategy of applying salt and other ice melt products to make your business safe for employees and customers during our coldest months.
Applying typical rock salt is most effective when the temperature is no colder than -12. After that the use of calcium chloride , magnesium chloride or other ice melt products may be needed for efficiency. We will discuss price options if this situation arises.
No Sidewalk Ice Guaranteed
We strive to have all sidewalks on the property free from ice for the safety of everyone. If the forecast is 0 degree or colder we will salt automatically. If the ” feels like ” temperature is 0 degrees or colder we salt automatically. Pre salting is also automatic for when frost or freezing rain is predicted and pre snow storm. Lastly we salt after every snow fall clearing is completed.
After a heavy snow fall event we will return the following day to confirm sidewalk ice has melted at NO CHARGE , however if salt is required when we check we will charge the typical salting price for the service.
When we are able to preform the above tasks we can guarantee that you will have an ice free sidewalk.
